she photographed a lot of celebrities and it opened doors for vanity fair to have cover shoots for celebrities like Julia Roberts, George Clooney, whoopie Goldberg, Demi moore first birthday suit photo shoot that got people plus the media buzzing etc.
She also released her film/documentary in 2008 ANNIE LEIBOVITZ LIFE THROUGH LENS which shows a lot of her work and aspirations from rolling stone to vanity fair.
I would not say Annie Liebovitzis just a female portrait photographer, she is many things.
